# Tinget

Tinget is a private, invite-only app for one friend group: a single group chat with the next gathering pinned above it. Everyone in the group is invited by default. iPhone first. Android later. No ads, no algorithms, no public profiles.

A ting (Old Norse þing) was the Norse assembly: the same people, a fixed meeting place, and a recurring cadence.

The app can pin the next gathering (date, place, and who is going), repeat it weekly, every two weeks, or monthly, and keep chat, photos, and event links on one screen. Anyone in the group can add an event. Reminders go only to people who have not answered. Several groups on one account is planned and not available yet.

Tinget is in private testing. The home page collects a waitlist email and whether the phone is an iPhone or Android. The public App Store listing is not open yet.

/j/{code}. That page shows the code and opens an installed app at tinget://join?code={code}.
